From 15th to 16th of May, 2025 Institute of Electronics and Computer Science (EDI) organized and hosted the General Assembly of the Horizon Europe Chips-JU project “Ensuring European ECS Value Chain Sovereignty through Shaping the Future of ECS for Automotive Applications (ShapeFuture)” project. The event began with the core team meeting which was attended by Dr. Kaspars Ozols, Deputy Director for Development and leading researcher at EDI. This was followed by innovation stream presentations, where the current partner status was discussed and future actions were planned. Here EDI researcher Edgars Lielāmurs presented EDI progress of the first project year in the Innovation Stream “Electronic Components and Systems for perception” Demonstrator “Mobility-aware asynchronous edge-assisted perception”. First day concluded with the guided tour and social dinner at Culture Palace “Ziemeļblāzma”. 

Second day began with presentations on Work Package progress and future plans were discussed. These discussions were followed by internal meetings and workshops where task specific plans were debated. The General Assembly concluded with a guided tour of EDI laboratories which showcased the main research directions pursued by EDI with the aim to increase future collaboration.
