On 7 July 2007, the EDI Scientific Council met and elections for academic positions were held. EDI continues to strengthen its academic capacity and 7 colleagues got scientific positions in these elections.

Results of the EDI Scientific Council meeting:

  • Modris Greitāns has been elected to the position of “Principal Investigator” in the field of “Computer Science and Informatics”;
  • Ints Mednieks has been elected to the position of “Principal Investigator” in the field of “Computer Science and Informatics”;
  • Maksims Ivanovs has been elected to the position of “Principal Investigator” in the field of “Computer Science and Informatics”;
  • Armands Ancāns has been elected to the position of ‘Researcher’ in the field of “Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Information and Communication Technologies”;
  • Krišjānis Nesenbergs has been elected to the position of Research Fellow in the field of Computer Science and Informatics;
  • Gatis Šūpols has been elected to the position of Research Assistant in the field of Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Information and Communication Technologies;
  • Maksis Celitāns has been elected to the position of Research Assistant in the field of Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Information and Communication Technologies.
