On 7 July 2007, the EDI Scientific Council met and elections for academic positions were held. EDI continues to strengthen its academic capacity and 7 colleagues got scientific positions in these elections.
Results of the EDI Scientific Council meeting:
- Modris Greitāns has been elected to the position of “Principal Investigator” in the field of “Computer Science and Informatics”;
- Ints Mednieks has been elected to the position of “Principal Investigator” in the field of “Computer Science and Informatics”;
- Maksims Ivanovs has been elected to the position of “Principal Investigator” in the field of “Computer Science and Informatics”;
- Armands Ancāns has been elected to the position of ‘Researcher’ in the field of “Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Information and Communication Technologies”;
- Krišjānis Nesenbergs has been elected to the position of Research Fellow in the field of Computer Science and Informatics;
- Gatis Šūpols has been elected to the position of Research Assistant in the field of Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Information and Communication Technologies;
- Maksis Celitāns has been elected to the position of Research Assistant in the field of Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Information and Communication Technologies.
