From 1st to 3rd October EDI’s integrated circuits and systems laboratory members – researcher Andrejs Cvetkovs, electronics technicians Marks Melniks and Roberts treize, and programming technician Katrina Anna Tupule – took part in 22nd International Conference on Networking, Sensors and Control (ICNSC), hosted by the University of Oulu in Finland.

The main theme of the conference was Autonomous Intelligent Systems, presentations also touched upon specialized applications of artificial intelligence, optimization methods, safety of sensor networks and many other topics.

As part of the technical sessions, the following articles have been presented:

  • Katrina Anna Tupule presented the article Ground Segmentation Method Based on Polar Grid for 3D LiDAR Point Cloud (Katrina Anna Tupule, Maksis Celitans, Kaspars Ozols).
  • Roberts Treize presented the article Depth-Aware RGB and IR Image Alignment Using ToF-Based Homography Interpolation (Roberts Treize).
  • Andrejs Cvetkovs presented the article An approach to hardware-accelerated quantum sensing based on NV centers in diamonds (Andrejs Cvetkovs, Rihards Novickis, Gatis Supols).
  • Marks Melniks presented the article Real-time accelerator design for lossless compression of 1D data (Marks Melniks, Rihards Novickis).
