On October 9, 2025, researchers from the Institute of Electronics and Computer Science (EDI) participated in the EUREKA programme’s XECS cluster networking event “XECS Matchmaking Event 2025” in the field of electronics components and systems innovation, which took place in Riga, Latvia.
The EDI delegation was represented by senior researcher Jānis Ārents and researcher Pēteris Račinskis. During the event, EDI representatives actively engaged in creating new cooperation opportunities and strengthened existing contacts with European industry and research partners A new XECS project call idea – COVEMAS – was presented. COVEMAS focuses on the application of open-set semantic mapping systems in the forestry and agriculture sectors.
EDI regularly participates in such events to strengthen cooperation with international partners and promote innovation development in Latvia and Europe
