Cooperation with other research centers and scientific institutions
Our cooperation with European and global research centers allows us to combine scientific potential and experience to achieve common goals. These centers are our partners in developing innovative solutions, validating technologies, and developing new ideas.
Joint projects with research institutes allow us to work on complex interdisciplinary tasks – from smart systems and data processing to cybersecurity and robotics. This cooperation strengthens EDI as part of an international scientific innovation ecosystem.

The institute actively cooperates with leading Latvian research centers in the field of information technology. Since 2007, cooperation agreements have been signed with:

At the international level, the institute cooperates with several leading research organizations, including:
- Space Research Institute, Austrian Academy of Sciences (Graz, Austria) – since 2005
- Changchun Observatory, Chinese Academy of Sciences (Changchun, China) – since 2004
- Finnish Geodetic Institute (Masala, Finland) – since 2001
- Shanghai Astronomical Observatory, Chinese Academy of Sciences (Shanghai, China) – since 2008
- TIMA Laboratory (Grenoble, France) – cooperation in the OSMOZE program together with the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), Grenoble Institute of Technology, and Université Joseph Fourier (UJF)
- Cooperation with Main Astronomic Observatory, National Academy of sciences of Ukraine has been initiated.
