On 23 January 2026, within the framework of doctoral studies at the University of Latvia, Pēteris Račinskis defended his doctoral dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Science (PhD) in Computer Science, entitled “Perception and Control in Autonomous Robotics using Vision-Language Embeddings.”
The scientific supervisor of the doctoral dissertation – Dr. sc. comp. Modris Greitāns.

Based on the reviews and evaluations provided by the reviewers, the Promotional Council for Computer Science and Informatics and Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Information and Communication Technologies of the University of Latvia decided to award Pēteris Račinskis the degree of Doctor of Science (PhD) in Computer Science.
