On February 4-5, 2026, researchers from the Institute of Electronics and Computer Science (EDI) participated in the important networking event for the European microelectronics and electronic components ecosystem, “ECS Brokerage Event 2026”, which took place in Brussels, Belgium.
EDI was represented by Deputy Director for Development and Senior Researcher Dr. Kaspars Ozols, Senior Researchers Ph. D. Jānis Ārents, Dr. sc. ing. Aleksejs Tatarinovs, Ph. D. Jānis Judvaitis and Researcher Mg. sc. ing. Artis Rušiņš.
During the event, EDI representatives actively formed new and strengthened existing collaborations with European industry and research partners. Also, new ideas were presented for the upcoming Chips JU project call – “RADIANT” which focuses on cybersecurity solutions for wireless devices, and the “iUSE-AI”, which aims to detect osteosarcopenia early using ultrasound and embedded artificial intelligence.
