On the 11th and 12th of June this year, EDI software engineer Toms Račinskis participated in the international scientific conference “International Conference on Frontiers of Signal Processing ICFSP 2026”, which took place in Toulouse, France.
During the conference, Toms presented a paper titled “Real-time quality-aware embedded signal processing for respiratory and cardiac peak detection in bioimpedance”, which is focused on a digital signal processing approach for extracting simultaneous heart and respiratory rates from a chest bioimpedance signal aimed at use in low-power wearable devices.
The authors of the paper are Toms Račinskis, Armands Ancāns, Sandis Kaģis, Klara Kuzņecova and Modris Greitāns, who wrote it as part of their broader work in the EU co-funded SUSTRONICS research project (101112109). For his presentation, Toms received a “Best Presentation” certificate.
