Another successful outcome for the LACISE project – congratulations to Aleksejs Onackis!
21.01.2026 Outstanding master’s thesis and engineering project developed at Riga Technical University in the professional study program “Smart Electrical Engineering.”
The work analyzed the stability of the Baltic energy system, isolated operating frequency tests, and dynamic modeling using real measurement data and specialized electrical energy system modeling tools.
The work was developed with the support of the LACISE project within the framework of the Swiss-Latvian cooperation program “Partnership in Applied Research.” The LACISE project (2025–2029) aims to address the most important energy challenges and prepare the next generation of scientists. It will promote long-term and multidisciplinary cooperation between Latvian and Swiss researchers, combining knowledge in materials science, chemistry, energy, information technology and artificial intelligence.
