From May 13–14, 2025, the Institute of Electronics and Computer Science (EDI) hosted the Management Committee meeting of the international Horizon Europe Chips-JU project “Digitization of Power Electronics Applications in Key Technology Value Chains” (PowerizeD) at its premises. From EDI, the meeting was attended by Dr. Kaspars Ozols, Deputy Director for Development and Leading Researcher. The event gathered leading experts and partners from various European research and industry organizations to assess the progress of project implementation and to agree on key decisions for the project’s continued successful execution. During the meeting, special attention was devoted to:

  • preparation and completion of deliverables;
  • achievement of project milestones;
  • risk management;
  • strategy for the exploitation of project results;
  • development and readiness of demonstrators;
  • preparation for the final review event;
  • planning of upcoming meetings (content and approach);
  • cooperation with other similar industry projects;
  • dissemination and standardization activities, as well as other aspects crucial to the successful progress of the project.

As part of the event, a guided tour of EDI’s laboratories was also organized to showcase EDI’s research directions and to encourage further collaboration.
