On 10 May 2023 the DIH² Network was hosting its 3 rd Convention. Egils Berins was representing EDI in “3rd DIH² Network Convention” event that was held in Brussels Thon Hotel EU. More than 100 delegates were participating from a list of EU countries and also from Turkey.
The DIH² project is part of Horizon 2020. The basic idea is to support consortia, manufacturers and SMEs with medium capital to implement robotics-related technologies. DIH² is essentially a network of 26 robotics Digital Innovation Hubs (DIH) across Europe to enable flexible manufacturing.
The event put together European DIHs, regional authorities as well as representatives from the European institutions to explore and exchange on the role of robotics in boosting the agility of manufacturing in the European industry. The participants learned from the experience of other DIHs that have successfully managed to design follow-up programmes for the beneficiaries of the DIH² network open calls.
DIH² Network hosting was broken down into four key blocks:
- Initiatives of the European Commission for DIH
- Role of DIH² in advancing the digitization of manufacturing industryincluding the DIH² tools and services.
- Inspiring stories of DIH² network members
- Explanations about upcoming funding opportunities and brokerage.
Egils Berins met new potential co-operation partners from more than 10 countries and explained about EDI succfess stories, new technologies, robotics solutions developed by EDI researchers during the last three years.
