On December 2, Anna Mutule participated in the EERA JP Smart Grids event in Brussels (the Joint Programme of the European Energy Research Alliance on Smart Grids). The main objective of the event was to strengthen collaboration within the European Research Area, support the development of high-quality international projects, and identify new partners in the fields of energy innovation and smart grid development. During the brokerage session, various research directions were presented, giving participants the opportunity to exchange ideas, discuss specific calls, and expand professional networks.

The meeting also addressed additional EU funding instruments, including programmes supporting innovation, collaboration, and infrastructure, aimed at enhancing Europe’s research capacity in the field of smart grids and fostering sustainable, technologically advanced solutions.

Participants received up-to-date information on European energy initiatives and networking activities, as well as on new opportunities for international cooperation, including the European Competitiveness Fund.
