On October 21, 2025, first-year physics students from the University of Latvia went on an educational excursion to the laboratories of the Institute of Electronics and Computer Science. The purpose of the visit was to learn about the institute’s activities, research directions, and practical applications of technology.

The students were welcomed by EDI researchers, who introduced them to the institute’s main areas of activity, including projects in the fields of artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, robotics, and sensor technology. During the tour, the young people gained an insight into how scientific ideas are transformed into innovative solutions and practical applications.

The participants said that the visit was inspiring and educational, helping them to understand how physics knowledge is used in real engineering and technology fields.
