On September 7, 2026, at the international seminar DynPOWER 2026 (in Winterthur, Switzerland), Sergejs Koržuks participated in a panel discussion and presented the potential applications of graph neural networks in power system monitoring, as well as sharing the results of his research, “The Application of Graph Neural Networks for the Early Detection of Instabilities in Electric Power Transmission Networks.”

Leading electrical engineering researchers and industry experts participated in the seminar to address the challenges of dynamics and control in modern power systems. The event is more relevant now than ever before, as the rapid transition to renewable energy sources and the pursuit of climate neutrality goals are placing an unprecedented strain on transmission grids. Under these circumstances, traditional analytical methods are no longer able to respond quickly enough to grid instability; therefore, the seminar focuses on the implementation of artificial intelligence and power electronics solutions to ensure a secure energy supply in the future.
