Institute of Electronics and Computer Science celebrates its 60th birthday!

On June 1, 1960, on the basis of Decision No. 283 of the Council of Ministers of the Latvian SSR, the Institute of Electronics and Computer Engineering was born within the Academy of Sciences. After Latvia regained its independence, the Institute changed its name to the Institute of Electronics and Computer Science.

During these 60 years, the Institute has undergone various events, but in spite of everything, we have achieved recognizable success in every decade and involved dozens of young specialists and university students, so that together with experienced Doctors of Science they share Institute’s achievements worldwide!

Congratulations to every former, current and future employee of the Institute on this historic day and we wish everyone to never stop expanding their knowledge and to always strive for new challenges!
