Director and leading scientist of EDI, Modris Greitāns, and research assistants Oskars Teikmanis and Artis Rušiņš, participate in the 5G-ROUTES consortium meeting in the Mektory innovation centre in Tallinn from September 14th-15th. The goal of the project is the development of 5G communication solutions in cooperative traffic, logistics and passenger entertainment applications, which operate without interruption, even crossing national borders. As part of this event, the consortium aims to agree on future priorities: research of multi-hop technology for maritime communications, 5G infrastructure development for railways and smart, connected mobility applications.
