From December 4th to 5th, 2023, Deputy Director of Development and Senior Researcher Dr. Kaspars Ozols and scientific assistant assistant Edgars Lielāmurs of the Institute of Electronics and Computer Science (EDI) is participating in the Horizon Europe KDT-JU “Intelligent, Safe and Secure Connected Electrical Mobility Solutions: Towards European Green Deal and Seamless Mobility (EcoMobility)” project meeting in Athens, Greece. During the meeting project partners discuss project implementation aspects, network and take decisions necessary for successful project realization. During the discussion, significant decisions were discussed regarding supply chains SC2 (Enhanced perception and localization – intelligent embedded sensor systems) and SC3 (Intelligent Connectivity). and their demonstrators. During the SC2 discussion session, the equipment and interface to be installed in the demonstrator vehicle were specified, and the desired driving scenarios for the demonstrator were discussed. The construction of the EDI perception system was explained in detail, and feedback from partners regarding the system’s compatibility with localization algorithms and further system development was received. In the SC3 discussion session, partners were presented with the EDI environmental representation model, and the interaction of the model with risk assessment and trajectory planning algorithms was clarified.
