In the news “Rīta Panorāma” a story about the most significant science achievements of the past year in Latvia was shown. Leading researcher of the Institute of Electronics and Computer Science Jevgenijs Buls and electronics engineer Aleksandrs Kalinovskis talk about the technology developed by EDI for recording time moments in spacecraft with pico-second accuracy, the achievments of which can currently be found in half of satellite laser location systems worldwide. In the future, the method developed in Latvia will also help to successfully implement the European Space Agency’s program – to land on the moon.
