On August 7, senior researcher Maksims Ivanovs took over as head of the Robotics and Machine Perception Laboratory. He has been working at the Institute of Electronics and Computer Science since 2019, specializing in deep machine learning and artificial intelligence, as well as researching how the development of these technologies affects society. So far Maksims has been involved in several significant projects and has authored a number of publications.
We express our sincere gratitude to Roberts Kadiķis who has led the laboratory since it’s inception and whose work has significantly contributed to its development, the quality of its scientific results, and its international recognition.
The new management will continue to develop the laboratory’s research areas and promote innovation in cooperation with partners in Latvia and abroad.
