On January 30-31, EDI senior researcher Dr Rihards Novickis and scientific assistant Edgars Lielāmurs, participates in the final review meeting for the APPLAUSE project in Paris, France. During the event, EDI, with Norwegian company IDEAS, demonstrated the developed infrared camera prototyping system, which incorporates a bolometer array developed by the partners of the consortium and infrared image processing algorithms designed and implemented by EDI. EDI demonstrated one of the project’s main objectives – the development of a high-performance, low-cost, uncooled thermal infrared sensor.

APPLAUSE builds on the European expertise in advanced packaging and assembly to develop new tools, methods and processes for high-volume mass manufacturing of electrical and optical components.
