Amr Elkenawy joined the Institute of Electronics and Computer Science (EDI) in January 2021, mainly involved in projects related to Smart and Connected Mobility and the Internet of Things (IoT). He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Power Electrical Engineering from Alexandria University in Egypt in 2017 and a Master’s degree in Electrical Sciences from Riga Technical University, Latvia, in 2020. He is currently pursuing doctoral studies at the University of Latvia. In addition, following the submission of a scientific work on sensor data fusion carried out within the Erasmus+ programme at Graz University of Technology (TU Graz), he completed the “Udacity Self-Driving Car Engineer” nanodegree programme.

Amr’s research activities encompass smart mobility and autonomous vehicle technologies, as well as smart sensors and the Internet of Things. His research focus is on autonomous vehicles and object localisation, with particular emphasis on sensor data fusion.
