On January 20th, 2021, Deputy Director for Development and Robotics and Machine Perception laboratory senior researcher Dr. Kaspars Ozols participates in a Latvian-French business webinar organized by the Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIAA) and the French Association of Enterprises “MEDEF”. The webinar is dedicated to the topic of smart cities and sustainable urban planning, exchange of inspiring ideas and experiences and promotion of mutual cooperation. The aim of the seminar is to promote the involvement of Latvian companies in export activities and to expand knowledge about the opportunities of the French market.


During the webinar, there was an opportunity to hear about both the current business environment in France and the opportunities and prospects for potential cooperation. There was also an opportunity to listen to the stories of French and Latvian entrepreneurs’ and researchers’ experience of successful business development in the specific market.

The seminar was attended by the French Minister for European Affairs, Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Economics of the Republic of Latvia, Embassy of the Republic of Latvia in France, Embassy of the French Republic in Latvia, Riga City Municipality, French Association of Enterprises (MEDEF), Latvian Investment and Development Agency, EDI, etc. During the event, Dr. Kaspars Ozols gave a presentation on EDI research, competencies, and experience in the fields of smart cities and smart mobility.
