The Institute of Electronics and Computer Science (EDI) in cooperation with Riga Technical University (RTU) has started a project titled Smart City Technologies for Human Lives Improvements in September 1, 2013. The project is supported by European Social Funds ESF grand No. 2013/0008/1DP/1.1.1.2.0/13/APIA/VIAA/016 and managed by

Dr.sc.comp. Kaspars Sudars.

The main goal of the project is to support young scientists and doctoral students at the Institute of Electronics and Computer Science and Riga Technical University, Institute of Telecommunications. For this reason the interdisciplinary research group has been established.

The scientific goal of the project is research on modern data acquisition, data transmission and information processing for human life improvement and smart city development, including the development of WDMA-AON data transmission technology.

The project time frame is from September 1, 2013 to August 31, 2015.

The funding amount is 349 999 LVL
